Nas Filipinas, estudantes da Universidade de Manila protestam queimando computadores e cadeiras utilizadas pela instituição, que desligou na última semana uma aluna de 16 anos que não podia pagar pelos estudos. A estudante vinha sofrendo cobranças "abusivas" por parte da faculdade e foi encontrada morta em aparente ato de suicídio. Alunos chamam de "Protesto negro" onde também protestam pelo altos preços de mensalidades que eles consideram abusivos e pretendem continuar protesto por uma semana.
Opinião: Nada pode justificar atos de vandalismo e principalmente em instituições privadas, os alunos poderiam procurar protestar de outra forma. No calor das emoções o importante é manter a ordem e a diplomacia.
(In the Philippines, Manila University students protest burning computers and chairs used by the institution, which hung last week a student of 16 who could not pay for the studies. The student had been suffering charges "unfair" by the college and was found dead in an apparent act of suicide. Students call "black protest" which also protest the high price of tuition they consider abusive and intend to continue protest for a week.
Opinion: Nothing can justify acts of vandalism and especially in private institutions, students could seek protest otherwise. In the heat of the emotions is important to maintain order and diplomacy.)
